Fall event a chance to earn CEUs, network, and catch up with friends.
I hope everyone had a great summer and that the season has been both productive and safe for you and your teams.
I know this time of year can get especially busy for those working in the field, and the summer heat can add another challenge to an already demanding job. As we continue through the warmer months, I want to take a moment to remind everyone about the importance of workplace safety.
Making sure your team has the proper safety equipment, understands the right procedures, and is looking out for one another can make a tremendous difference. Sometimes, a quick reminder or safety check can go a long way toward keeping everyone safe and making sure your employees know that their wellbeing is a priority.
I also want to remind everyone about our upcoming Fall Continuing Education Event taking place September 17-19 in Albuquerque. As always, this will be a great opportunity to earn your continuing education units, network with fellow groundwater professionals, and spend some time with friends and colleagues from across the industry.
We will also have suppliers from throughout the region on hand, giving attendees an opportunity to learn more about new products, equipment, and services that can help support their businesses.
The NMGWA Board of Directors has also made the decision to move to one annual show going forward. This decision was made after looking at the increasing costs associated with hosting multiple events as well as fluctuations in attendance. We know that our annual show is an important part of what the New Mexico Ground Water Association provides to its members, and we want to make sure we are putting our resources into an event that delivers the greatest value to our membership.
Moving to one show each year will also give us an opportunity to make that event even stronger. Our goal is to create more opportunities for member engagement, hands-on learning, education, and networking while bringing together the groundwater professionals, suppliers, and partners who make up our industry.
We appreciate everyone's continued support of the New Mexico Ground Water Association, and I look forward to seeing everyone this September in Albuquerque. Until then, please stay safe, look out for your teams, and enjoy the rest of the summer.
